Back in June last year we mentioned about Sony looking to hire a new games developer. That’s not really anything too exciting unless you read quite close exactly why they were hiring a developer. In the job listing it was mentioned that Sony are looking for a software developer who could develop backward compatibility for the Sony Playstation 3 and an “unspecified next-gen console”. Since then it has always made me wonder if the next-gen console was to be the PS4 and if they were looking more in to playstation 4 development rather than backwards compatibility.
It’s been way over a year since that job listing was first mentioned and yet all we still have is rumours and speculation. PS4forums earlier this year listed some information of a PS4 roadmap and had some quite interesting information on processors to be used etc… but again, it’s not official information.
With Sony giving no official word yet (which is understandable as they wouldn’t want to kill off sales of the PS3 by announcing a PS4) all we can do is speculate right now and hope that playstation 4 development for both hardware and software is under way.

i seen this website and the xbox 720 website and i think the xbox 720 is going to be better

man xbox suck in PS4 will be the best a xbox cant even last more then a year tops
Sony knows exactly how to gamble perfectly, the ps3 included:
but for me I would say its better cuz if u want High definition then buy the original Blu-rays
6 years between all their consoles except for the SLIMS 
a Blu-ray drive, Wi-Fi Ethernet and bluetooth
x-box 360 didnt have none of these, but eventually will in 720, so when they add these stuff they would have less other new things to add, but ps3 already had all these, so they have lots of new things in PS4
x-box 720 will have better antipiracy features like ps3, but ps3 already had the anti-piracy feature that couldnt be cracked so how would it be like with the PS4?????!!! thats a disadvantage
about the prices, ps4 will never have something around $1000 cuz they know it wouldnt sell good, by 2011 or something like that all the chips, RAM, drives etc will be MUCH cheaper than now! They say the 720 will be released maybe at the end of 2010 and want to release their console before sony does so the PS4 wont be released until 2011 or 2012

Why would Sony bring out a PS4. It is not neccessary. You can keep installing updates to your console to make it faster and better. The PS3 slim is incredible already.
@Blob… Some people might have thought that when the PS1 was launched. It was far superior to the Sega Genesis/Megadrive and SNES. The PS1 at the time was incredible but new hardware is always coming out.
The ps4 is a great idea, but needs to wate a couple years before coming out
you have to remember this is going to be our 4 concil but there 3 when the xbox 720 so relley were ahead and we will stay ahead cause if you think about it we are suppereur more peopel on line cause we dont need to pay for it like the crapy xbox360 razza out
