It seems that GAME Australia spoke sooner than it should’ve done as details of a new map pack have been released a little prematurely.
Given the title ‘Escalation’, you’ll get to shoot til’ your heart’s content across maps including The Zoo, Convoy, Hotel, Stockpile and a zombie map dubbed “Call of the Dead”. It seems though, that this new information came perhaps a little earlier than it should have done as the details we have so far, came from the GAME website in Australia had later got pulled from the site.
Call of Duty games have generally done phenomenally well and additional downloadable content, though a little pricey for what you actually get, have nonetheless, not deterred gamers in playing their favourite first-person-shooters.
Now other than the fact that it’ll be made available to Xbox LIVE users first, we have no concrete date details yet as neither Treyarch or Activision have officially announced the launch of Escalation. But May 3rd may be a good enough bet for the time being. As far as how many coins this piece of DLC will cost we’re unsure but seeing as the previous map pack for the latest in the line of Call of Duty games to date called First Strike (which allowed gamers to take on each other across Hong Kong, Artic Circle, Berlin Wall and an ice hockey stadium) cost gamers $15 then you can unfortunately expect to see an equally as high a price tag on Escalation unless the publisher’s feeling somewhat generous.
Let us know what you think.
