In the gaming world, it’s been quite a while since new downloadable content has been available ever since ‘Lair of the Shadow Broker’ which finally lifted the lid on the story behind the being that was alluded to in the first title of the Mass Effect trilogy. Sonic 4 Episode 1 didn’t really quite live up to the expectations of those who still remember Sonic back in his hay-day.
Though it showed us a few new things we hadn’t seen in any of the older game there was however, something… just not right with it, the game seemed pratically sluggish at times and the general physics of the game caused a little bit of a stir as well [click to continue…]
The Ninja Gaiden series has always been for the more hardcore of gamers, requiring the player to commit several hours to the various combo and control systems available. Yet the player would still find themselves at the mercy of the shear difficulty of the game.
It was almost a month ago that we originally posted an article about a new installment to the series and it was then that we were able to reveal that Ninja Gaiden would not be following in the same foot prints as it’s predecessor’s. [click to continue…]

We’ve still really looking forward to Oblivion’s follow-up title. The previous highlighted what true role playing should be about though it did have it’s fair share of issues. But that aside, it sold well over 3 million, 2 million in the first couple of months. We posted a teaser trailer for The Edler Scroll: Skyrim a little while ago.
Though it’s still a little wait until we get to try it out for ourselves. It’s been a loooong time coming, but it’s finally within our sights.
The first in the trilogy broke new ground with a fantastic, magnetic cover system and very gratuitous but gratifying gory gameplay from the outset, i.e. The first time I got to chainsaw a Locust Hoard soldier literally in half from the head down.
The underpinning story follows Marcus Fenix who, originally imprisoned for abandoning his to post to try and save his father, Adam Fenix, is freed by close friend, Dom. From there, along with his fellow comrades, takes on the Locust Hoard who have chosen to attack Sera (the humans home planet). [click to continue…]

For me it was Road Rash on the Sega Mega Drive, I managed to get the fastest bike in the game, get to the last stage of the game, I would lean forward and get ready to race my last race and then I threw my controller as far as the lead that was attached would let it. That was because my game had crashed and it was at that point, many years ago that I resigned myself to the fact that no game will be completely perfect. Today though, I still feel that at the very least we should be almost there but alas. [click to continue…]
